There are three recycling depots on the Sunshine Coast that accept printed paper and packaging through the Recycle BC program, as well as bottle depots for refundable beverage containers.
Scroll down for depot locations in Gibsons, Sechelt and Pender Harbour.
NEW MATERIAL ACCEPTED STARTING JANUARY 2019
Other Flexible Plastic Packaging is a new material accepted at depots for recovery. Stand up pouches, crinkly potato chip bags and net bags for produce are just a few examples of what is on the list.
Note: What cannot go in or be recycled at depots includes PVC, plastic lined paper, paper lined plastics and plastics that are biodegradable, including cellophane which is made of cellulose.
*Please follow sorting instructions at each depot and ask depot staff if you have any questions about what is and is not recyclable -- they try hard to eliminate contamination to ensure collected materials can be properly recycled.

Bottle Depots for Refundable Beverage Containers
Bottle depots are provided through Encorp Pacific (Canada), and are part of a provincially mandated stewardship program for beverage containers (SCRD has no involvement with the beverage container program).
