CLIP is a project lead by a community group that is proposing to take on the development, execution, ongoing maintenance and associated financial responsibility of the final product.

The SCRD’s role is to provide guidance and support (for example: during a permit application process) to the community group proposing the project.

The CLIP application form below is intended to provide the SCRD with an initial understanding of a community led project proposal.

Once the SCRD has reviewed the application, the applicant will be given advice on time frames potentially involved to bring their proposed project though the stages of planning, approvals, implementation, and ongoing operations. Projects may require additional information after the initial application depending upon the complexity of the project. This may include Provincial, Federal, and First Nations approvals.

Projects that request SCRD funding support require board approval and are subject to financial planning timelines. Project submission deadlines are in July for consideration for following year’s budget approvals.

The SCRD reviews CLIP applications as they are received. If your application is accepted for further consideration, additional information will be requested.

Please complete the application form here.
