Gibsons and District Aquatic Facility

Located just outside of downtown Gibsons, the Gibsons and District Aquatic Facility has a 20-metre lap pool, small tots pool for younger children and a hot tub. The Gibsons and District Aquatic Facility has a lift to assist with access to the swimming pool. Learn more at Accessibility Resources.

Annual Maintenance Closure: July 1 to 28

The annual pool maintenance closure will take place starting Monday, July 1 to Sunday, July 28, re-opening on Monday, July 29. The water will be drained from the pools and wet areas so that the maintenance work can be completed. The entire facility will be closed . The Sechelt and Pender pools will be open during this time.

The entire facility will be closed.
Sechelt and Pender Harbour pools will be open during this time. (Except July 1, when facilities are closed for the Canada Day statutory holiday).

Pools require annual maintenance to extend the life of the facilities and to minimize unexpected closures. We schedule planned, temporary closures of the pools and wet areas to complete this work each year. The annual maintenance closures at SCRD pools are scheduled so that only one pool is closed while the other two pools are open and available.
