The SCRD invites you to submit your application regarding community hall & multipurpose room use for the 2025/2026 season from September 01, 2025, to August 31, 2026.  The application deadline is July 1st.

The purpose of the Community Hall & Multipurpose Room Allocation process is to provide the residents of the lower Sunshine Coast with a fair, consistent and appropriate procedure on how space will be allocated at Sunshine Coast Regional District (SCRD) operated community halls and multipurpose rooms.

Given the limited supply of available community hall and multipurpose room space, the allocation process will ensure the effective and efficient distribution of facility usage times.

This allocation is for the following community halls & multipurpose rooms:

COMMUNITY HALLS:

  • Chaster House
  • Eric Cardinall hall
  • Frank West hall
  • Granthams hall

MULTIPURPOSE ROOMS:

  • Gibsons & Area Community Centre
  • Sechelt Aquatic Centre
  • Sunshine Coast Arena

Multi-Purpose Rooms

We operate seven multi-purpose rooms within our facilities.

Parks

From Gambier Island to Egmont, we manage and maintain a variety of parks available for rent.

Arena in Sechelt

We operate the Sunshine Coast arena in Sechelt that is available seasonally for ice and dry floor activities.

Arena in Gibsons

We operate an arena in the Gibsons and Area Community Centre that is available seasonally for ice and dry floor activities.

Sports Fields

Sports Fields of varying sizes are available for use.

Pool in Pender Harbour

We operate the Pender Harbour Aquatic and Fitness Centre in Pender Harbour that is available for use.

Pool in Sechelt

We operate the Sechelt Aquatic Centre in Sechelt that is available for use.

Pool in Gibsons

We operate the Gibsons and District Aquatic Facility in Gibsons that is available for use.

Swimming and Arena Birthday Party Packages for Kids

We offer Skating and Swimming Birthday Party Packages. Registration includes room rental, pool or arena usage and admission for up to 15 children.
