Katherine Lake and Campground
(Area A: Garden bay/pender harbour)
The camping season at Katherine Lake Campground ends on September 19.
There is currently a provincial ban on all campfires. This prohibition will remain in effect until noon on Oct. 15, 2021, or until the order is rescinded.
Reservations can be made by calling 604-883-9557.
As per Phase 3 of BC’s Restart Plan, the campground will be open at full capacity on Friday, July 16, 2021.
Campsite reservations are open to residents of Canada only until such a time that the current Public Health Order is revised.
Please leave a detailed message and the campground caretakers will call you back in the order of received calls.
There is a maximum of five registered campers per campsite.
Public washrooms at the park are cleaned and disinfected at a minimum on a daily basis. Visitors to the area are advised to follow provincial health guidelines.
The Sunshine Coast Regional District is working to ensure our parks remain safe.
Katherine Lake is a popular swimming spot to enjoy for a day, or as part of a camping trip.
Location: North of Pender Harbour, turn left off Highway 101 onto Garden Bay Road. Continue 5.5 kms on Garden Bay Road. Katherine Lake sign post is on your right.
Area: 37.0 hectares (91.4 acres)
Amenities: Picnic facilities, sandy swimming beach, small playground, fishing, non-motorized boating, 26 RV spots and 10 campsites, washroom facilities with showers and an onsite caretaker.
Check in time: 2:00 p.m.
Check out time: 11:00 a.m.
The campground is suited for young families, we ask that you respect the peace and quiet of others and keep noise to a minimum at all times. Designated quiet time is 10:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
Camping fees payable by Visa, MasterCard, debit, cash or cheque are payable at check in: $18.00 per night per party and $22.00 for an RV site.
