Join us at the Sunshine Coast Regional District (SCRD) Administration Building at 1975 Field Road on Thursday, November 12, at 1:00 p.m. for the inaugural SCRD Board meeting.
During the meeting, nine Directors representing the Electoral Areas, the District of Sechelt, the Town of Gibsons and the shíshálh Nation Government District will take their oath of office. The meeting is open to the public and can be viewed on the SCRD’s YouTube channel.
Following the meeting, community members are invited to an open house from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. to learn more about current SCRD initiatives, including:
- Official Community Plan Renewal
- Solid Waste Management Plan
- Volumetric Billing
- Parks Service Review
- FireSmart
The open house will also offer an opportunity to get an up-close look at some of the SCRD’s fire vehicles and tour a brand new battery-electric transit bus.
