Board Chair and Vice-Chair elected for the SCRD

At yesterday’s Sunshine Coast Regional District (SCRD) Board Meeting, District of Sechelt councillor Alton Toth was re-elected by acclamation as the Board Chair for the SCRD.  

Area B (Halfmoon Bay) Director, Justine Gabias was re-elected as the Vice-Chair also by acclamation.  

“On behalf of Vice-Chair Gabias and myself, I want to say thank you to my fellow Directors for continuing to support us in these roles as we enter the final year of the term,” says SCRD Board Chair Alton Toth. “We look forward to continuing to lead the Board in working with staff, and exploring partnerships with our community as we face the challenges in the year ahead.” 

Chair Toth was first appointed to the SCRD Board in November 2019, and re-appointed in November 2022.  Vice-Chair Gabias was elected to the SCRD Board in 2022.
