Third Party Practitioner

Service Announcement - COVID 19 and Recreation Facilities

Individuals who would like to use SCRD facilities to instruct, train or coach for a non-SCRD program or service* in SCRD recreation facilities are required to register as a Third Party Practitioner with the SCRD. This is to ensure those offering services in our facilities have appropriate training and insurance for what they are doing.

*Examples are personal trainers, physiotherapists using for patients rehabilitation etc. and excludes volunteer organizations.

What are the benefits of being registered with the SCRD?

  • Practitioner’s contact information can be available for community if requested.
  • Recognition that practitioner meets industry standards to offer services.
  • Registration identifying Third Party Practitioner as an approved trainer to work in our facilities.

First time applying?
Complete the SCRD First Time Third Party Practitioner Package.
Please note it can take up to a week to process the application.

Need to renew?
Third Party Practitioners are required to renew each year.

Covid-19 Update
We would like to welcome you and your clients back to the facility for personal training sessions. The SCRD asks our approved third party practitioners (3PP) to pre-register in the same timeslot as their client online or by phone.

For everyone’s safety please maintain 2.5m of physical distancing as much as possible and always wear a mask. It is recommended to use voice cueing with clients rather than by touch. If you have any questions please contact us.
