Whispering Firs Park
(Area E: Elphinstone)

Location: This is a great rest area for travellers as this park is located right along the highway. From the traffic light at Sunnycrest Mall in upper Gibsons, travel west on Hwy. 101 for 2.8 km. Turn left on Oceanview Drive and then immediately right into the parking lot.
Area: 7.8 hectares (19.2 acres)
Amenities: A large grassy area with a sheltered picnic site, barbeque (cook-house) and seasonal porta pottie. A unique feature of this park and trail system is the Fitness Circuit - a short series of exercise equipment along a wooded trail. The main hiking trail winds through an incredibly tall, second growth Douglas Fir forest full of sunlight and ferns.
