It's important that children get an early start in developing their motor skills. Providing your child with a wide variety of opportunities to be active will help them develop the foundations of physical literacy.

What is Physical Literacy?
Physical literacy is the motivation, confidence, physical competence, knowledge and understanding to value and take responsibility for engagement in physical activities for life.

Enjoy some time for yourself while your child is in the care of trained YMCA staff. Ages 4 months to 10 years.

This is a Family Resource Program, offered by the Sunshine Coast Community Services in partnership with the SCRD. It is a free program that offers a stimulating play group for children birth to six. It’s a place where parents and caregivers can get support, information and resources. It’s a great chance to take a break from the home routine and to connect with other parents and caregivers and to have fun with your children.

Bellies and Babies Drop-In
The Sunshine Coast Community Services Society in partnership with the SCRD offers this program for pregnant women, new mums and their partners. It is an opportunity to meet, share stories, talk with the staff and get information on pregnancy, birthing, postpartum, nutrition as well as learn about other community services. A free hot delicious and nutritious lunch is served and recipes provided.
