BACKROAD TRASH BASH
You are invited to join the SCRD on
Saturday, September 15, 2018 from
11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the
Pender Harbour Lions Park for the annual Backroad Trash Bash community clean-up!
This year’s clean-up will target illegal dump sites in the Pender Harbour and Egmont area.
Volunteers are needed! The SCRD is looking for volunteers with vehicles capable of hauling garbage (ie. pick-up trucks) as well as volunteers to help clean the illegal dump sites.
On the event day, volunteers are assigned a cleanup site, in teams they head out and clean up a site, drop the collected materials off at the Pender Harbour Transfer Station, then sit back and enjoy a free BBQ lunch and opportunities to win great prizes!
To pre-register as a volunteer, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org or call 604-885-6806 with the following information:
- Name and number of volunteers
- Organization, company or group name
- If you have a vehicle capable of hauling garbage and extra seats for carpooling OR if you are looking for a ride
