GAMBIER ISLAND SW PENINSULA TRAIL NETWORK TASK FORCE
A community open house to share the work of the of the SCRD Gambier Island SW Peninsula Trail Network Task Force was held on October 28, 2017. The open house provided project background, results and gathered community feedback.
The results of the SCRD Gambier Island SW Peninsula Trail Network Task Force were presented to the SCRD Planning and Community Development Committee on December 14, 2017. The staff report can be downloaded here.
Gambier Island South West (SW) Peninsula
Trail Network Plan
The purpose of the Gambier Island SW Peninsula Trail Network Plan is to provide the SCRD and the community with a prioritized list of trails to be developed as well as guidelines for their development.
The development of the Trail Network Plan is a result of public consultation work such as the 2016 SCRD Gambier Island SW Peninsula Trails Questionnaire.

Trail Network Task Force Walk and Talk
The Sunshine Coast Regional District’s Trail Network Task Force for Gambier Island South West Peninsula ("the Task Force") hosted a Walk and Talk on Sunday August 13, 2017.
The purpose of the Walk and Talk was for the Task Force to meet with neighbors and residents to discuss and evaluate public trail locations and designs. Feedback will inform the Trail Network plan being developed by the SCRD with community input.
Each stop on the Walk and Talk will considered trail design strategies related to privacy, safety and environmental protection.
