  • Green waste or yard waste like grass clippings or tree branches are not accepted at the Sechelt Landfill. For information about this program visit our website www.scrd.ca/green-waste.
  • Mixed loads containing recyclable or controlled materials cannot be buried in our landfill and waste separation is required. This does not necessarily require separate trips, but materials need to be in distinguishable separated groupings within the vehicle. Common example: if you tear down an old shed, the different material types must be separated, like metal, plastic or wood. We would take the metal for recycling and plastic as garbage, but the wood would have to go to Salish Soils.
