Backyard Burning:

Back yard fires will only be permitted from April 1^st to 15^th and October 15^th to November 15^th on properties of one hectare or larger when the Ventilation Index (for Central Vancouver Island) is rated as “Good”. Please note that residents of the Sunshine Coast can drop off yard waste and prunings at the local landfills FREE of charge.
