Welcome to WebMap, gateway to the Sunshine Coast Regional District's (SCRD) interactive on-line web mapping services. These web-based systems bring information together from the Regional District's Geographic Information System (GIS), making mapping easy to understand through symbols, colour-coding and labels.
WebMap contains information for the entire SCRD where you can find:
as well as information from:
Four different WebMap services are available:
OPIS (On-Line Property Information System), was designed to allow the public easy access to 'front counter' information. The public can directly access information from their home or businesse that used to require a trip to the SCRD office .
If you're new to web mapping services consider reading our OPIS Quick Start User Guide.
PIMS (Property Information and Mapping System), is a subscription based site designed for land professionals. PIMS provides access to legal plans, property sales data and detailed land use information. Tools are available to analyze data, create reports and compose detailed maps.
Contact Property Information and Mapping at 604-885-6818 for information on accessing PIMS.
Sunshine Coast Habitat Atlas is a web-based mapping tool that accesses information and inventories on watercourses and environmentally sensitive areas found within the SCRD's aquatic and terrestial ecosystems. The database provides up-to-date information to planners, developers, government organizations, municipalities, First Nations, community organizations and local businesses, enabling them to make informed land use and stewardship decisions in support of the protection, enhancement, and restoration of fish habitat and sensitive ecosystems.
Reduce Illegal Dumping was developed to help the SCRD manage the problem of illegal dumping within the Regional District. Included in this site are over 200 identified illegal dump sites that have been located, photographed and catergorized for quantity and type of garbage. RID provides SCRD staff and the public tools to identify and report dump sites and will be used by community groups and individuals to help cleanup reported sites.
