Solid Waste Management Plan Update - a Zero Waste Management Plan

The Solid Waste Management Plan was adopted by the SCRD Board
at their Regular Meeting held September 22, 2011,
(click here for their DRAFT minutes),
on the understanding that revisions from the
Consultation Report be incorporated.

The Consultation Report includes feedback from the
public processes held to date.

The final Draft SWMP (with Stage 1 Report)is posted here.

Read the Consultant's Report on the 2011 Solid (Zero) Waste Managment Plan Public Consultation

All surveys and other feedback returned by Thursday, June 30, 2011 are being considered for inclusion in the plan with other technical and financial information.

The plan has been sent to the Ministry of Environment for final approval.
