Pender Harbour Aquatic Society
The Pender Harbour Aquatic Society board was established is the late 70's when a pool was first envisioned by a small group of enthusiastic residents. They saw the potential in a large water holding tank which was to be built under the new high school and used in case of another devastating fire.
The role of the board has changed considerably over the past years to reflect the growth and development that has occurred. Through the Society's constitution and the management agreement with the Sunshine Coast Regional District the primary functions are "..to oversee and conduct the necessary businesss to ensure the continued operation and maintenance of the Pender Harbour Aquatic and Fitness Centre, and all related activities."
The Society meets monthly, except during the summer months when everyone takes a well deserved break. The majority of work done is in conjunction with the Aquatic Manager, as well as, semi regular discussion with, and updates from our Area A Regional Board director. All members of the Society and community are welcome.
Funds raised by the Pender Harbour Aquatic Society assist in supporting special events, programs and equipment purchase for the facility as well as a yearly bursary to a graduating student from Pender Harbour Secondary.

The Board meetings are usually the 3rd Monday of the month at 4:30pm at the PHAFC.
Next Meeting date will be Monday February 25 (one week later due to Family Day holiday)
May 27 (one week later due to Victoria day holiday)
