Drinking Water - New Connections
A Water Service Application is required if you are planning to construct a building (residential or commercial) on a property within the SCRD Water Service Area.
To complete the Water Service Application form:
- Please contact or visit our office located at 1975 Field Road, Sechelt, BC V0N 3A1.
- Pender Harbour residents please contact our office located at 12828 Lagoon Road, Madeira Park, BC, V0N 2H1 604-885-6877.
To process your application you must present the following:
- Legal description of subject property.
- Name and mailing address and telephone number of current registered owner.
- Size of connection required.
Many water connections have already been installed and paid for by property developers. In this instance, an application form is still required but there will be no charge. If there is no existing connection, a fee may apply.
Connection fees are as follows:
- ¾” (19mm) - $1200
- 1” (25mm) - $1800
- Over 1” - you will be billed at cost with a minimum charge of $2,000. A deposit based on engineer’s estimate is required at the time of application.
Please note: payment is required at the time of application.
Water meters will be installed on all new connections for possible metering in the future.
If you require a Water Service Application and you are unable to visit our office, you may send a written request with payment cheque enclosed to the Field Road address above. Please include all information as required above and ensure the letter is signed by the registered property owner.
