Fitness Descriptions: All fitness classes are suitable for all levels-modifications will be given.
Cardio Fat Blast: Increase your cardio stamina and sculpt lean muscle. Instructor: Amy Perry.
Mix it Up: Looking for a variety in your workouts? This class delivers! Each class will have a different format, Boot Camp; Cardio Kickbox; Interval training; Step; Hi/lo Aerobics. A variety of equipment will be utilized to achieve optimal fitness benefit.

FAB (50 and Beyond) Ladies Only: Start your healthy active lifestyle with this 60 minute class in the company of women. Cardio, strength training, core training will all be included along with a warm up and stretch. Equipment such as weights, resistance bands, stability balls, medicine balls will be used for the strength portion.
For Women ages 50 and older.

Weights to Water: 'Ramp' up your fitness experience with this new program. Do the first 45 minutes of FAB then finish off your workout in the pool with Water Running.
Step Interval: Cardio and resistance training intervals using the step for a challenging full body workout. Instructor: Amy Perry.
Total Body Toning: Spend 45 minutes working all your muscle groups doing 2-3 sets of resistance exercises using various equipment and a challenging ab section to tone and strengthen the whole body. Warm up and stretch will complete the hour. Instructor Amy Perry.
Move Strong Move Fit, For Seniors: Come join us for an hour of social connection while gaining greater mobility, balance and strength for your everyday activities. This gentle fitness class will include a warm-up, balance and agility games with exercises to strengthen the major muscles, including core. We then finish off with stretches and a quiet relaxation with the aim of a more stress free day. All participants must be cleared by a physician before attending first class. Weight Room Orientation: Take the 'unknown' out of the weight room and learn how to use each peice of equipment safely and to your benefit. Available by appointment. $15
Personal Trainers: Have a trainer develope a strength and conditioning plan for you or just do it better with a trainer-assisted orientation session. Session can be gym based using free weights, machines and/or specialized equipment or, if your prefer, outdoors. Get inpsired, get informed, and get going! By appointment only.

Boot Camp: Kick your fitness into high gear with this one hour high-intensity workout. Our Instructors get you moving at your optimal level to acheive your goals. Crank up your metabolism, improve your energy and reduce stress. This co-ed fitness blast includes modified moves for individual needs. Boot Camp really works!
Mondays and Wednesdays: Start date January 9. This class will be held in the PH Secondary School gymnasium.
Boot Camp 10 Punch Card $90 or $12 drop in. Instructors: Mondays with Mokie Burnham and Wednesdays with Quinn Barrabash.

Zumba: The Latin inspired Fitness class has taken North America by storm, and for good reason! It's a fun, free spirited, total body workout and anyone can do it. Feel fitter after the first class, come back for the party atmosphere! Moving your body has never been so inspiring. Classes are held in the PH Secondary gymnasium.

Walkabout Pender Harbour: In July 2009 we offered a 'WalkAbout Pender Harbour' program which led into the Hiking Group that still meets every week. By request, we are again offering this program for those who are at a beginner/moderate fitness level and are wanting to improve their fitness levels. The program will use the Nordic Walking Poles and will meet Monday mornings, 9-10am, for 8 weeks beginning May 7. This is a registered program but Drop-ins are always welcome. Instructors: Kim Watts and Amanda Peterson.
