The Sunshine Coast Regional District, in partnership with the Town of Gibsons, the District of Sechelt, and the Sechelt Indian Government District (SIGD), is taking a leadership role in addressing climate change.

As part of the SCRD's commitment to the BC Climate Action Charter, the SCRD Board adopted a Corporate Energy and Emissions Plan, with a target to reduce corporate greenhouse gas emissions by 27 percent by 2018, relative to 2008 base year emissions.

In addition, our The Community Energy and Emissions Plan (CEEP) aims to reduce energy use and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions throughout the community, through implementing a range of actions. Information on key action areas are being updated below. You can also find information on Upcoming Events and Links to related resources and information.
